| Background | B cell Oct binding protein 1 (BOB. 1) is a transcription factor required for germinal center formation and immunoglobulin production, and is expressed in the nuclei of B lymphocytes and plasma cells. BOB-1 antibodies are B lymphocyte specific transcription co activators of Oct-1 and Oct-2 transcription factors.The strong expression of BOB-1 and Oct-2 in germinal center derived lymphoma has made these antibodies a new class of broad spectrum B-lineage IHC markers to assist in the differential diagnosis of lymphoma. |
